Have you found any unusual ways to spread the word about Kerry?
Back when I was supporting Dean, I found a great one. Anytime you order pizza, give the pizza delivery person a NICE fat tip, then hand them a one-page piece of literature about Kerry. They are usually delivering pizzas as a second job and are unhappy about the economy. I live in Dallas and have not had a single negative reaction to the piece of paper. They usually smile, thank me, and/or have something positive to say about voting for Kerry. The large tip doesn't hurt.

I do the same with waiters/waitresses. BIG tip, tiny little Kerry piece of literature (front and back on a small wallet-sized piece of paper). They can throw it away if they want, whatever. You could also just use a Kerry sticker. Again, most waitstaff aren't in a good situation economically.

Another group of people I've found willing to vote for Kerry are apartment dwellers. Most of them want badly to buy a house, but it's hard when you are barely paying the bills as it is. They are also very receptive to the idea of a change in the White House, so I've put Kerry literature in the laundry rooms and mail rooms of apartment complexes around here. I've had people see me do it and most of the are pretty interested to know more (that's when I tell them I'm a deputy voter registrar!).

I convinced my hair stylist to vote for Kerry. This will be her first time to vote and she's in her early 30s.

I've had more grocery store checkers and sackers comment positively on my Kerry buttons.

Anything else guys? I'm running out of ideas and want to do some different things these last 53 (55?) days!

2. Hey John
I just told Little Moonbeam your silly joke of last night about why I didn't wear a dress (because I didn't want to shave my legs....just kidding. I'm a guy, why would I wear a dress?)

And she gave me a very strange look.

I plan on buying several copies anyway, good suggestion! I need to start thinking of people I know who are wavering...

6. I give extra Kerry-Edwards stickers to canvassers
The campaign sent me about fifty bumperstickers, and not that many people need them around here, because I live in a fairly liberal town, and most people who want the stickers already have them.

I contribute online to the campaign, DNC, Sierra Club, etc., and prefer not to give to door-to-door solicitors. However, I've found that they usually appreciate being given stickers to give to people who donate to them.

I like the idea of distributing campaign material in laundry-mats, etc. I'm going to start doing that!

7. Exactly!!!
Anywhere people go to do their laundry, pick up their mail (not the actual post office, though! I'm not sure that's kosher!), lobbies of apartment buildings (ask about permission), waiting rooms (especially for car repair places, I've done that too).

8. The wait staff approach is interesting ...
although I, a waitress, am profiting from the wealthy and their big tax cut. I assure you, only those of us in the high end restaurants are. I'm quite sure that the majority are suffering as middle class America is suffering. You can reach a lot of young voters that way. Bravo!

9. bad me
This is not a new idea and I hope it is legal, but I love to print stupid looking pictures of the stupid one and slip them into magazines when I have appointments at different places. I also like to print other articles and do the same thing. Just doing my bit.
