The Berger Chevrolet Patriot Day Parade

The purpose of the 1st Annual Berger Chevrolet Patriot Day Parade is to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and to honor the heroes in our community. The Grand Rapids Jaycees hope that this parade gives the people of West Michigan the chance to thank the men and women who daily put their lives on the line so that we may feel a little safer at night.

We hope that the 1st Annual Berger Chevrolet Patriot Day Parade presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees will be the first of many to come.

"Patriot Day" is also badly named. "World Trade Center Day", ala "Pearl Harbor Day", seems more appropriate. Did those who die on 9/11 become 'patriots', as in giving * the means to decimate our favor around the world AND abuse the peoples of the world?
