I wish someone would use it in a campaign commercial. I think it would be effective. Does anyone else?

12. Yes.
You wouldn't even need any text until the very end; just some photos to go with it, with a text message filling the screen when the song ended.

Don't cable companies provide public access channels that you don't have to spend the gross domestic product of a small nation to get air time?

10. I'm listening right now.
Nice guitar.

It has a wistful, tender tone to it. I feel grief, rather than outrage, for what we have become, for what we have lost.

I like it.

30. No, I wouldn't mind. Please do. Tell me about your station.
enigmatic, please let me know when you're going to play it.

Here are the song credits.

FOOL ME ONCE
Copyright 2004 Andy Oglesby

Recorded at Barton College July 23 & August 28, 2004
Produced by Liberal Andy and Phil Valera
Engineered by Phil Valera
Performed by The Near Myths

Katy Adams - 12-string guitar, harmony vocal
Jim Clark - banjo, harmony vocal
Bernadette and Ben Greene - northern exposure
Andy Oglesby - guitars, lead vocal
Terry 'Teep' Phillips - bass, drums, electric guitar

Phil Valera - co-producer, engineer, tambourine

We recorded nine songs, mixed this one first, due to it's "timeliness". FMO is the only "protest song", the rest are kinda,.....classic southern folk-rock and silly love songs. The CD "WILSON", should be finished by New Years.

I'm not talkin' 'bout a regular guy
'Cause he's never ever wrong and he can't tell a lie
And you're with him now, or the other guy.

I'm not talkin' 'bout an honest man
Sent your son to a foreign land
Now there's blood on the ground, and on his hands.

"Fool me once, sh-sh-sh-shame on you.
Fool me, can't get fooled again."

Nobody's gonna get away with that
Somebody's gonna hafta pay for that
Somebody's son not coming back, not coming back.

copyright 2004 AO

Anybody out there know John Kerry, please play it for him.

31. about that link
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 11:00 AM by Liberal_Andy
the short version;

http://home.nc.rr.com/clarkja

links to Jim Clark's web page (banjo, vocal on FMO). Jim released a CD last year called "BURIED LAND", and it's very much worth checking out. It's a collection of his poetry and traditional Appalachian folk songs. If you go to the web page above and click on "CDs", it should give you a choice between "Buried Land" and "The Near Myths" (if not, click 'refresh'). FMO is the only thing at the Myths site so far, so check out Jim's CD, please.

The Near Myth Official web page is near, but still mythical.

34. Actually, it's a soundfont.
I used with my Fruity Loops program. It was by far the most realistic B-3 soundfont I have heard. And yes, it does sound as if it's amped through a Leslie. Thanks for the feedback! :hi:
