Which is the greatest piece of crap movie?
You know, movies that are so crappy they're good? My vote goes to The Swarm, a 70's disaster flick that came about right as the trend was dying. Quality.

Its The Swarm with its bad science and not so special effects. Polyester was a work of beauty that cannot be placed in the same category. Hehe

10. Nice choice
This is in the top ten Crap Hall of Shame. I especially love the VH1 version with the crappy digital bras. Now that's production value.

40. OMG I love Showgirls
Especially the Roger Rabbit bras on the VH1 version.

They just came out with a super special edition DVD and I swear to god I'm gonna run out and buy it. It's got everything--former child star trying to skank it up to get away from a squeaky clean image, dozens of boobies to hide atrocious acting, the most unintentionally funny dialogue EVER WRITTEN, and Gina Gershon.

Best. Movie. Ever.

20. It's difficult to choose the greatest....
but some very bad ones are:

-Attack of the Killer Shrews. 'Loved the "shrews"....dogs wearing wigs.

-Plan Nine From Outer Space. (And everything else directed by Ed Wood.)

-Wild Guitar. Late 50's teen explotation movie.

-Exorcist II. I think that was what it was called. The one with Richard Burton. Check it out, it's really hilarious.

-Santo movies. Masked mexican wrestler hero battles an assortment of villians, like Frankenstein, the Aztec Mummy Man, Wolfman, etc.

A very cheaply made movie that is actually pretty good: "Carnival of Souls." Really creepy. I can't listen to organ music anymore without being reminded of that movie.

32. I vote for Zardoz.
and i quote from the floating disembodied head of Karl Marx in the movie, "the penis is bad, the gun is good!"

and Sean Connery running around in a loincloth, leather go-go boots, and weilding a rifle shooting at people running towards him screaming "kill me! kill me!"

yes, it p0wns joo! a must see.

38. Almost anything ever riffed on MST3k
There's only a handful of movies I couldn't enjoy even with Joel/Mike and the bots making fun of them. A lot of the DVDs have the un-riffed movie as an extra on the disc, and sometimes I watch them without the riffing. Anything with Joe Don Baker in it is comedy gold, especially Mitchell.

I LOVE cheesy disaster movies. One of the worst ones I ever saw was that recent NBC earthquake movie 10.5. The sensible part of my brain died from the way they totally abused science. But god was it funny. Especially the dude on the bicycle trying to outrace the collapsing Space Needle (I guess it never occured to him to turn left or right). And their master plan--only in America would we think to NUKE the earthquake.

Volcano was similarly hysterical. I like how they stopped the lava with concrete highway barriers.
