JOHNNY CASH FANS... In Memory of the Man in Black
This was posted at midnight, and will only be available today. In this video that was shown at his private funeral. Is a clip of his appearance on SNL. Dylan is shown, and numerous other clips.

AND I know the one picture at the end... well, its there. Deal with it. And do not disparage Johnny Cash because of ONE picture that was placed in this video montage.

Please remember...Johnny died one year ago today. And I for one wish that he was here today. No one will ever replace the Man in Black.

6. Man, to be honest, I don't know who David Icke is, but I've heard the name
I just happen to know that Bush&Co are alien lizards that can do a whole lotta tricks with their bodies and our minds. Some think I'm a "mad musician," but I think I'm onto something.

11. The man defied every genre
Too country to be rock & roll, too rock & roll to be truly country. Not to mention he was a deeply spiritual man who never passed judgement or wore his beliefs on his sleeve. The man was a freakin' genius.

14. After the Memorial, there is Johnny Cash vs Music Row on CMT
It premiered last night.

Snip:
The struggle between American music legend Johnny Cash and mainstream country music takes the spotlight in Controversy: Johnny Cash vs. Music Row. Featured interviews include daughter Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Ricky Skaggs, Anthony De Curtis (Rolling Stone), longtime manager Lou Robin, Bill Miller (Cash: An American Man), music industry leaders and journalists.

The one-hour episode chronicles Cash’s struggle to find a place for his music as country radio playlists were drastically changing and country radio was not playing Cash records. In 1986, after a 28-year relationship, Columbia Records unceremoniously dropped Cash from the label. His new union with Mercury Records in 1987 yielded little success. Upon signing with non-Nashville label American Records, Cash ultimately found a compatible label home for his music. His Grammy-winning 1994 American Records debut American Recordings delivered the goods with a new generation of fans.

Kristofferson talks about Cash’s departure from Columbia Records: “John never talked to me about the disappointment about being dropped by the label that he built. I know I felt that it was a statement more about country music than it was about John. Country music had gotten so big, largely because of John. His television show brought attention to country music that it never had before when it had people like Bob Dylan and James Taylor. People who didn’t usually go to Nashville were coming to Nashville out of respect for Johnny Cash.”

UnSnip:

There is one part of this show, where a Sony Executive is talking about the full page "Thank you to Music Row, and The Nashville establishment" Ad that Johnny ran after winning the Grammy.

The Exec, says that the whole room was talking about the ad, and she mentioned "You do realize that he is talking to us?"

Its a great show.

17. Actually his last CD is due out at the end of this month
Johnny wrote "The Man comes Around" it is really a beautiful song, and I don't know why that song wasn't released along with "Hurt"

The other people he covered on that CD was Simon & Garfunkel (Bridge over troubled water) Eagles (Desperado)Hank Williams (I'm so Lonesome I could cry) Depeche Mode (Personal Jesus) Peter, Paul & Mary (The first time ever I saw your face)

But In my Life(Beatles) is my favorite.

16. Cash was a walking Mt. Rushmore...
He lived much of what he sang about.

A true American original, and one of the greats. :toast:
