I'm about to watch Steve Martin's "The Jerk"--who wants to join me?

I woke up to Matthew's piece of shit show this morning showcasing nothing but people who have a hard-on for bush, tolling the death knell in giddy voices for Kerry's campaign and I came on DU to get some scoop on that and now I've decided it's movie time.

I'm going to be watching "The Jerk" because that's the nicest thing I call bush--even though Steve Martin's character is actually loveable and funny and bush is anything BUT.

Any favorite lines from that movie?

6. That's one of my favorite parts.

That and the scene where Bernadette Peters is learning knife-throwing and counts: "1........2........3...........fourfivesix!" And throws it while saying fourfivesix really quickly.

It's a scene that isn't as funny in writing!

8. I agree, it does tend to lose a lot of the humor in translation

to the script, since the movie is based so much on visual comedy!

That's what I was subject to once. Having watched the movie on network TV, I thought the dog's name was Stupid. The topic came up at a gathering of friends, see subject line for the response I got. How humiliating.
