DU's "favorite" golfer, Vijay Singh, in a playoff at the Canadian Open
Facing Canadian Mike Weir, who is trying to be the first Canadian to win the national open in 50 years. If Vijay wins, it'll be his 7th win of the season.

1. When did he become "our" favorite golfer?
I remember him making some pretty shitty comments when Annika Sorenstam was playing in the men's tournament a couple of years ago. I thought it was quite ironic because there was a time, not so long ago, when someone of Vijay's skin color would have been denied access to clubs and tournaments as well.

3. That was sarcasm
I posted last week when Vijay overtook Tiger, and heard a lot of negative feedback about the Annika thing.

2. Tee Hee................
My Mom hates Vijay. Called him an asshole the other day. Now Tiger Woods, there's a stand-up golfer. </sarcasm>

6. Hope he chokes on a couple of easy shots
I can't stand that asshole. I'd rather cheer on the Dallas Cowboys than to say anything nice about Vijay Singh. And you football fans know how I feel about the Cowsissies!

10. Weir is really trying to blow this
With the pressure of trying to become the first Canadian since 1954 to win the national open, and just the second since 1914.

Weir just missed a 5 foot par putt for the win after Singh hit a lousy chip. Weir's putt didn't even hit the hole. He was 12 under at one point then ended up tied at -9, 3 putting from 8 feet on #16.

13. Splash!!!
Uncharacteristic choke from Mike Weir, yanking a short iron into the lake after Vijay was on the fringe in two. Weir's drive was in the rough and he hacked it out. There was pressure to get it close, but that shot was ridiculous.
