Anyone remember The Electric Company?

Easy Reader. Fargo North, Decoder. Who else was on that show?

2. I don't remember character names.
I do, however, remember Rita Moreno and possibly Morgan Freeman (I think they were both in the sketch) in a bit about the importance of punctuation.

A man was on trial for trespassing in a posted area. The sign said: PRIVATE PROPERTY NO FISHING ALLOWED.

The argument was over whether it meant "private property, no fishing allowed" or "private property? No -- fishing allowed."

The guy who was on trial had been caught fishing in somebody else's lake, and had said he interpreted it the second way, that was the gist of the piece.

Don't ask me why I remember that so well.

Bill Cosby and Irene Cara both were on the show, as well as Moreno and Freeman. Mel Brooks, Joan Rivers and Gene Wilder did non-appearing voice characters. That was a cool show.

3. That show had some good talent
Bill Cosby, Rita Moreno, Morgan Freeman, Gene Wilder as Letterman.
I don't think it could even be done again, not like that.

5. Heyyyy yoooou guyyyys!!!!!!
It's a word...it's a plan...it's Letterman!

Oh, yes, I most definitely remember the Electric Company!

I had no idea that Joan Rivers was the narrator for the "Letterman" series, though - and Zero Mostel was "The Spellbinder!"

Every once in a while I still find myself counting to twelve and singing the song that went along with the 'pinball cartoon' - and if you ever watched the Electric Company, you know which cartoon I'm referring to..."onetwothreefour-five,sixsev-en,eight,nine-ten,eleven-tweeeeelve!" :silly:

Everything you never wanted to know about "The Electric Company":

I also remember the original (70s) version of Zoom: ubby dubby, anyone?
