Since someone brought up the subject of MRIs, of which I've had 5 so far, I was wondering how many people here have had a Myelogram. Mine wasn't on the spine, where you can at least lay on your stomach. Mine was on my neck so I had to lay on my back and see the whole grisly procedure UP CLOSE and personal. The pain was un-fucking-believable. Which was the point since they're testing pain levels in the discs (four levels in my case). Fortunately, once the pain got beyond endurance, they flooded me with something to knock me out cold. But this procedure had to be pioneered by Dr. Mengele.
All of my life I had heard of people experiencing so much pain and/or anger that they saw red. I thought it was just a figure of speech until I had this procedure done. When the doctor hit my most herniated disc - I saw nothing but red. It was the worst pain I've ever endured. Unfortunately, I remember it vividly.
