It doesn't get any cuter than this Showshoe guy. In the sympathy-cuteness area, he's a rescue and an amputee -- he lost his left hind leg to an animal bite when he was a kitten. He's also a slapstick comedian, who thinks playing with the running tap-water is just the greatest. Dobbs is a healthy 4 1/2 now, and he gets long great -- but when he runs, he kinda drifts to the left -- could it mean he's a liberal??? :) I'm almost embarrassed to say that I am super-bonded with this guy -- I'm **already** worried about how much I'll miss him when he's gone. How neurotic is that? :)

They are amazing to see, especially with all that life behind them. If you ever run across a true Snowshoe-breed cat "in the flesh," make it a point to check out the eyes -- they sparkle like fine glasswork.

I think my three cats are just beautiful, and they are. But none of them can even TOUCH those eyes. Calis' are huge and black, but his face is black so they don't jump out at you like those do.

another thing that makes Dobbs so damned cute are his puffy white cheeks.

His face contains some "toon-like" elements that are basic to "cute": A round head, BIG sparkly eyes, the puffy cheeks, and small chin. If you used those elements to draw an imaginary critter, you'd be well on your way to drawing "cute."

13. Dobbs is clearly a frecat and has partaken

of the spice (melange) of Dune (Arrakis).

19. He's got something going for him, that's for sure. The vet told us that...

when the rescue group brought him in, his leg was gangrenous and the cat was near death. The vet quickly amputated the bad leg, and then acknowledged that "the cat would have to meet him halfway." Meet him he did, and then some.

While he was recovering, Dobbs was resting in a cage on the vet's counter, so everyone coming and going would see him, talk to him, etc. He was the vet's "mascot" for about four months. To this day, he likes to hang out near any playing music source, as they kept a radio on for him at night while he healed up.

Who knows? It very well may have been the spice! :toast:
