1. My Condolences to the Family and the American People
Brooke Campbell lost her brother, Sergeant Ryan M. Campbell, in Iraq on April 29, 2004.

In his last letter to her, Ryan wrote, "Just do me one big favor, OK? Don't vote for Bush. No. Just don't do it. I would not be happy with you."

2. I think the GOP is hoping that those military ballots don't come in.
I just saw an analysis yesterday concerning the effect of the military vote. They reported, almost too happily, that there was no way for many of those ballots to come in on time. Especially from soldiers who are out in nuclear subs.

Seems they would find a way to bring in those military ballots on time, if they were really sincere about democracy.

4. Odd... that wasn't the RW's take on military absentee ballets in 2000...
What a difference four years and a couple of wars make.

5. What, I don't remember a major decline in transportation technology
since November 2000, when Florida decided that it could wait for overseas ballots to come in, and even included a ton of ballots which had smudged, incorrect, or late postmarks along with a clear mark for Bush/Cheney . . .
