Repulsive ad for Bush campaign you have to pay money to see!

"In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, Americans felt uncertain about how to proceed with their lives. The game of baseball provided welcome relief as the country found itself rooting for the New York Yankees, who had come to symbolize the city of New York. This emotionally charged film tells this gripping story through poignant interviews and remarkable footage.

"Those interviewed include former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani; President George W. Bush; managers Joe Torre, Bobby Valentine and Bob Brenly; ballplayers Derek Jeter, Scott Brosius, Paul O'Neill, Mark Grace and Curt Schilling; New York personalities Liza Minnelli and Curtis Sliwa.

"Produced in Association with Major League Baseball Productions"

1. Apparently, it's on today's "talking points" menu, from Karl Rove
Or at least I've got to suspect that some P.R. agency, somewhere, is trying to link Sept. 14th, the Shrub's re-election campaign, and major league baseball.

And they're doing a good job of it. Maybe some of Limbaugh's cronies, toadies, or minions have had a hand in it. He used to work for the Kansas City Royals.

I was pissed off as hell this morning that my local paper's ***sports section*** was polluted with a 5-paragraph editorial, "Baseball Owners go to bat for Bush re-election." (It appears in the "In the Spotlight" section, just above the daily poll and "quotable" page two features, in the Sept. 14th edition of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.)

3. She happened to be in the bleachers that night.
She was pelting Bernie Williams with rhinestones.
