"Bush '04" at Chili's

So I went to Chilis last Friday with my mom and my in laws and I guess they are doing this promotion where you pay a buck and buy a paper chili pepper that you can decorate anyway you want. The proceeds go to help kids with cancer. Anyway, my husband points out to me that there, on the wall, are two crudely drawn Bush 04 chili peppers. This will not stand! So I bought 20, put Vote Kerry on all of them and they damn well better put them up. If they don't, it means that Bush hates children.

and this did it for me. I would have fumed for days over the Bush* 04 chilis and never thought of buying 20 and doing what you did. Wonderful idea and thanks. Smiles have been hard to come by here for a while and this was a good one.

I dunno why but this reminds me of this kid who wore a Bush/Cheney '04 shirt to a marching band practice last week. I said, politely for me I suppose, "Interesting shirt." He took note of my Kerry pin and said, "Well, I'm a Bush fan." Automatically, I replied, "Oh, really? I thought you just didn't know how to spell Kerry/Edwards." He didn't get it :eyes:
