Man Attacked, Stabbed By Wheelchair Bandit

A WHEELCHAIR-bound man was arrested today after attacking and attempting to rob a man who tried to help him, Amsterdam police said.

The would-be good samaritan came home to find the man in a wheelchair with two flat tyres in front of his house in the centre of Amsterdam.

When he invited the man in for coffee, he was grabbed and his attacker demanded cash, police said.

When the host refused, he was stabbed.

"The two fell to the floor wrestling," police spokesman Leo Dortland said.
