Waiting for those assholes at Fox (what a surprise) to do it.

Edit: Specifying which Batman.

17. Good call these are fun!
I have most of them in a VHS tape archive and they are still a lot of fun after all these years. Prints are a little faded tho ('In COLOR' doesn't have the impact it should!). Adam West is still the best Batman, and the most self deprecating, upbeat, hopelessly typecast bad actor in Hollywood.

25. Sadly, the originals will *never* be run again or made available..
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 02:21 PM by ReadTomPaine
The reason being their use of actual popular rock-n-roll songs from the era thruout the show's run. The licensing would be so prohibitively expensive you could likely foot the bill for a feature film just on the costs needed to get the rights for all the songs.

There are edited and re-dubbed versions that feature fake music, but since the actual songs were integral to some of the humor and part of the identity in the show, they are significantly diminished in this state.

The A&E DVDs have a fair number of cuts, including one of my favorite skits - the 'coming attractions' piece from episode 38 for several sitcoms including "Up The Palace - The zany exploits of a wacky Queen"

Q5 would also be nice.

20. The "X-Men" cartoon that was on Fox in the early 90s.
That show, and "Batman: The Animated Series" triggered my love of comics, and the Batman show is out on DVD, but not the X-Men show. After after two successful movies, no less! What gives?

27. Mission: Impossible
One of the most well written and imaginative shows in TV history. Great Lalo Schifrin soundtrack music, impeccably produced, great actors playing wonderful roles - it had it all. The films are a pale shadow of this show esp during its first 3-4 seasons.

28. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr
It was issued on VHS but most of those are long gone. Someone is selling DVD's but they appear a bit spurious--no official DVD release.

"Max Headroom"--of course.

And a weird Canadian comedy called "Twitch City" with Don Kellerman, Molly Parker, Callum Keith Rennie & a couple of the Kids in the Hall (sharing a role). It ran a few times in the US on BRAVO TV, cut into ribbons for commercials & with all the "bad" words bleeped out. (Yeah, Bravo is so hip.)

Oh, and "Animaniacs".

30. "The Tick" Animated Series & "Harvey Birdman"
I have all the Tick episodes on VHS but the recordings were pretty crappy to start with and now they're barely watchable.

I would also like to see Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law on DVD.

is out on DVD. I'm pretty sure the animated version is coming out soon. I know there are some official VHS tapes out there.
