Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones, citing creative and personal differences, has parted ways with the inky bubblegum combo.

"I'm just fucking sick of Betty," said the erstwhile Archies drummer. "Her tambourine work is constantly, irreconcilably at odds with my drumming. Frankly, the stupid little bit of fluff couldn't keep time with a Rolex. Plus she's a spotlight hog, and frankly, an asskiss. 'Oh, Archie, let me refill your Coke. Oh Archie, I'll carry your guitar for you.' What fucking ever. She's more useless than Michael Anthony."

Though the band's remaining memebers have yet to release an official statement about their clearly embittered former colleague, bassist Reggie Mantle was heard to say "Haw!"
