7. hardly
but hey, the funny thing is, a good amount of people failed it so we have to relearn those elements, which basically means I get to ace quizes and notecard assignments. God chem is so easy the second time around, well it will be until I get to those cursed moles.

8. How do you annotate your textbooks?
Someone in the company sent me a link to what we are calling our "e-books," but they are nothing more than uneditable PDFs straight from the Quark files - no resizing to fit the screen or anything. That led me to wondering how students annotate their textbooks. Do you keep certain ones clean to sell back? If you had a choice between the more expensive paper book or a cheaper e-book that you couldn't edit (so you'd have to take notes in your notebook or something), which would you chose?

11. I keep all my science texts
Simply because I do use them for reference. I also keep all books I find particularly interesting (I kept a few theology texts from last semester, for example). But if it's a class I do not intend to keep books from, then I take care of them and sell them back.

13. prions
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 07:05 PM by WindRavenX
Are misfolded proteins that also seem to cause other normal proteins to become misfolded as well. This is the mechanism that seems to be behind "Mad Cow Disease".
Prions are usually found wherever there is a high concentration of nerve and brain tissue; so if you eat beef, dont eat anything that comes near the spinal cord...ground beef is also suspect.

19. Brains are my favorite comfort food
I always order the cabrito head when I visit Mexico.

Sigh ;(

Any truth to the assertion that high heat/high pressure neutralizes them?

20. Probably
Proteins denature at high temperatures, but not a whole lot is known about prions to say for certain. But I would bet it would lower the risk.
