At least everyone acts shocked when I tell them my age. They all say they thought I was about 30. I tell them it's just because I am so immature....

4. well i just noticed i typed "my" instead of "me"
i have cts so typing is hard enough. i guess a "few" drinks don't make much difference. and the best part, a co-worker friend paid for my drinks and my nachos. and they are taking me to lunch tomorrow. they are the best.

3. the 40s are the new 20s
or so I hear..I'm way older than that.
Read children's literature, it will keep you young. I personally recommend "Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus". Melts off the years with each page you turn...

they also put a slice of granny smith apple in them. there is a restaurant here that has $.94 martinis and margaritas on wednesdays.

12. "Is this your first 39th?"
Sorry -- I got asked that yesterday (for my 29th, which isn't for a couple of weeks but is listed under September b-days on the bulletin board at work). It annoyed me, because I'm looking forward to 30 (and 29).

Happy b-day!

14. Happy Birthday..
... I assume you will drink 5 appletinis on your 40th :)

And, a friend of mine said recently - now I understand what that saying "life begins at 40" means.
