DUers, I need some ideas RE: Halloween

My sister-in-law and her husband say they're gonna blow everyone away with their costumes this Halloween. I need some ideas. Something my wife and I can really use to show them up.

So, in all your years, and all your Halloweens, what have been the best couples costumes you've seen. Hopefully this collection of ideas will help other DUers besides me as well.

1. A friend of mine and her boyfriend did this years ago.

She went dressed as a nurse (borrowed her mother's old uniform but this would be a lot easier to do these days of nurses wearing scrubs). The boyfriend went as the patient: They bought a plastic penis and arranged it so it was stuck in his zipper.

2. Suicide Bomber

Of course, that might get you more attention than you really want.

Perhaps that what they meant by "blow everyone away" ...

3. We went one year as Devo, and another year as Axl and Slash.

4. I was going to dress up like Zell Miller and canvas the neighborhood

with spitballs hanging off my suit. My wife says that maybe we could go as John Kerry (gotta get a pink tie) and Teressa.

6. reprehensor and I

did Bonnie and Clyde a few years ago.

He got the double breasted pinstripe suit and fedora, and I found a long black skirt, 30s looking shoes (tap shoes are good), a black beret, and a black, grey and white striped sweater at the Salvation Army.

Then we found some fake shotguns at the toy store.

I then took our clothes and painted big red stains all over them for bulletholes.

Everyone loved them. We got lots of great comments. I even posed with my leg up with the cigar in my mouth like Bonnie.
