1. Personally, I missed the Rivers and E! suffered without them
Joan is usually obnoxious but I liked Melissa Rivers. But my choices for Red Carpet viewing was between the schlockfest at ABC (Muppets are interviewing people on the carpet) or Star Jones on E! And btw, Star Jones was horrible. I ended up watching "Pimp My Ride" because both shows were that horrible.

I like the Red Carpet because I like the fashions and the Rivers focused on the fashion with a bit of comedy tossed in. I'm not sure what ABC was doing but I just stopped watching their pre-show. I mean geez, at one time they had an announcer do a fucking commericial on the red carpet for Buick. Pul-lease, it's bad enough I have to watch commericial during the show breaks, but to have some guy doing it DURING the show

Star Jones was beyond pathetic. IT was all about Star and 'gimme some lovin' type mentality. I tried to watch it when the "Sex and the City" cast came through but was turning nauseous when she made an utter asshole of herself with Chris Noth. And you could see Noth looking pained just standing there talking to this nimrod.

2. Conan O'Brien had a line that went something like.......
Joan Rivers couldn't be here tonight because she's out protesting against HDTV. I thought that was funny.

3. I'll take Joan if it'll spare me Star Jones...
How many times can one person say "bling-bling" and "black don't crack" in one fucking broadcast?????

4. Bring back Joan Rivers! The Emmys this year were beyond ridiculous
and you need someone to make snide comments at these puffed up, talentless buffoons!

Who was that guy who took her place on E! and WHY is he hosting the "Fashion Police"? Did you see his jacket? It looked like my grandma's curtains! And he's going to decide who looked best/worst at the Emmys? Plus he wasn't funny at all. Boring!
