So, we certainly don't need to hold our collective breaths for * to provide 4,000 additional hours of service (unpaid) to America. None alive today will ever see Dubya honor that.

Big Tex rocks. He even greets State Fair-goers in Spanish now too. :)

Several years ago the Dallas paper had a thing where people could write in with men they knew who were "Big Tex"es in their community. My daddy, who is 6'6" and the sweetest big you'll ever meet with a personality the size of Texas, got nominated by someone he works with. Had his pic in the paper and everything. It was pretty neat. :)

it is not a likeness of Shrub. It's a statue that has been at the State Fairgrounds since well before he was born. The statue looks NOTHING like Shrub. I know...I've seen it in person several times.
