10. Is it in Kentucky?
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 04:25 PM by richmwill
LOL- I know it's the "Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport", so I was never 100% sure where I was. Even the t-shirts for sale there are for both locations. So it is actually in Kentucky?

9. Agree about the airport
It's my favorite one, actually. Even if you have a 2 hour layover (which I've had several times), there's a ton of places to go, to shop, etc. And everyone there is really nice.

I saw a hell of Dead show there in "88 or 89" I left a place called the deadwood in Iowa City Iowa and ended up in a cafe called the deadwood 10 or so hrs later. I had steak and eggs and a Heineken. That was the deadhead breakfast special. Great "let the good times roll" opener! The garbage on the street was thick, it reminded me being in Philly around the Spectrum.

5. The Bungles won a game.
And Adam Dunn is gonna be a great one. And Sudsy Malone's is the best rock 'n' roll laundry and bar I've ever been to.

AND CINCINNATI CHILI IS THE FINEST FOOD KNOWN TO MAN.

And I have friends from there. And I've had good times there. The architecture is beautiful. The River, oh! that wonderful river.

Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 04:25 PM by DancingBear
I must say that southern Ohio is a hell all unto itself.

Centerville (home of the in-laws) is not number 1 on my "fun place to go" list.

edit: Lest us not forget the laundry soap smell that IS Cincinnati.

15. I can think of two --
1. the library downtown is awesome, and
2. Cincinnati chili, which I LOVE.

But yeah, of all the places I've been sent on business, nasty racist bastards seemed unusually prevalent in Cinci. (unfortunately one of the mechanical techs I have to work with fit right in...)

And that Goetta crap is horrible. :puke:

22. Oh god I hear ya.
My best friend moved there about 2 years ago and it kinda sucked, I'm sorry to say. We've lived in some rough neighborhoods in Chicago, but nothing prepared her for being constantly harassed when she walked down the street (she lived downtown). I visited her a few times and was surprised how tense the vibe was there. She finally gave up and moved to California, without a job, because she wanted to get out of there so bad.

On the plus side, St. Teresa's Textile Trove is the coolest fabric store EVER!
