Ain't had no TV since last Wednesday night. Ivan. Cable goners. Don't even have a set that would work with bunny ears. If I had a set of bunny ears. ALL TVs are now "cable ready". Listening to AA. This is a severe bummer for a news freak.
On the other hand...Miz t. and I have spent more time sitting on the porch swing talking. So far, this is good. So far. There may be limits. Getting cable back is way low on the town's priorities list. Understandbly.
I just volunteered for a job as a "Site Monitor". The contractor who is cleaning up the debris from our town has to have folks from the city to monitor that FULL truckloads of clean up trash are coming into the landfill. These guys get paid by the truckload. Now I'm a Garbage Cop.
1. We haven't turned ours on much, except to see local Ivan
flooding here in Pa, which got pretty bad (we're near Harrisburg). I just can't take any more talking heads! I wanna scream I'm Mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore! I think I'm gonna need Prozac on November 2. Maybe before.
Glad to see you made it through the storm. :hi:
I have gone without TV for six years and totally rely on the internet to keep current. I feel more informed now than when I was all TV'd up. I guess I watched less news and watched more of the non-news crap on.
