Ever notice how many people post in response to your title and not
what you have written in the message? Is that ever irritating or what?
Sometimes I will post something catchy in the title just to get people to read what I have in the body or perhaps something sarcastic and people will take me completely literally. They wont even take the time to read the bulk of what I have written which may take the complete opposite direction from the title. Who else has had this happen at least a billion times and it made you want to pop the person upside the head and tell them to take a second and read the body of your text instead of JUST the title!

1. It's a long-stnading practical joke here
To post a satirical piece as real news, and watch how few actually read through the article snippet or (an extremely rare phenom) click the link. I've fallen for one or two of these myself, however. :D

2. I just took the time to read the body of your message.
And it said nothing the top didn't! What a rip off! :)

3. That's happened to me a time or two
The last time that happened it kind of pissed me off because I spent some time writing what I thought was a really good post. But I had a question in the subject line and people just aswered the question and didn't eloborate any further as if they hadn't read the rest of my post. No more questions in the subject line unless it's going to be a really short post.

4. We should try another joke like the one they did in Elementary school when
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 01:29 AM by Quixote1818
the teacher handed out a paper and in the directions it said to simply write your name and hand it in. Those who didn't read the directions went on to take the whole test which they never studied for.

We should post something that is totally pro Bush and at the end inform them it was all a joke on the people who never read the body of the message. Then if they make it to the end they are supposed to post something praising the article to totally confuse those who only read the title. Anyone have any ideas?

6. Watch out posting that pro-Bush stuff
even if your going to have a punch line at the end, it still could be taken the wrong way, then you could be banned.

9. How about something Pro Mrs. Bush? That would seem more possible
and I don't think that would get one kicked off for saying how dam smart that lady is! And what an electrifying personality as well! I really like her.

8. I predict...
... that there would be quite a few calls of "freeper!", and possibly a few deleted messages. And possibly a banned member if they were too new. Which I am. So, count me out of that one. ;-)

5. Monkey-spanking spooge boy don't know crap!
Yes, you are quite correct, and it is quite irritating. I haven't had that problem often here, as I haven't been active that long. But, I have seen it the several months that I've lurked here, and on other forums.
