1. I'm spoiler-free but this much I do know
It's gonna be FREAKIN' HUGE. From what I understand each of the areas is gonna be as big as Vice City was itself. I think there was gonna be an LA type city, an SF type city and a Vegas type city.

Also I think the guy can swim this time, finally. I always thought it was funny as hell that, after going on a 6-star crime spree, the thing that would do me in wasn't the cops or the military, but accidentally jumping over a wall into water. :silly:

2. 6X than Vice City! I was amazed to read that
and I hear theres gonna be land in between those three cities. Yep, I am so glad you can swim now, and heh gain weight. Really, the only problem is my brother is gonna wanna play the game all the time too, I'll let him for the first two weeks because heh, I wanna get Kerry in to the white house, then its fun time, all those games I could play heh, I just need my computer fixed all the way and then boom everything will be great along with a Kerry presidency.

3. Hehe times like this I'm glad I'm the only gamer in my house
My problem is cash flow right now. There are so many phenomenal must-have games that are all coming out right now at the same time that I just can't do it. I've got a Mac and a PC, a PS2, Gamecube and GBA and I'm totally tapped out. Tapped out!

I'm with you though. Let's work our ass off for Kerry and then we can game to celebrate. Hell when Kerry is president I can actually get a decent job instead of temping and I can actually afford games. :D

I also wanna get wasted when Kerry wins, theres gonna be so much fun things to do.

4. Here's some stuff I do know and I will post links (spoilers)
CJ (the name of the character) has to eat and exercise

You can change his appearance i.e get a haircut, tatoos, new clothes in the various shops. Selecting clothes will affect your interaction with the gang you're in and also with other gangs. Example, show up in an area controlled by another gang and you wear the wrong colors and flash the wrong gang signs, they will attack you.

-It's gonna be harder to carjack cars because people will fight back

-Home invasions are in the game as a way to earn money because earning money is going to be more difficult

-From what I heard it's going to take about 20mins to go from one end of San Andreas to another and radio stations will fade in and out as you move from country to urban areas and vice versa

I read some of this here:

www.gamespot.com/

--> look under PS 2 and under preview and pick GTA: San Andreas
They have a 4 part feature on the game

I will post more

9. It's about a small time crook becoming criminal kingpin.
By pulling himself up through the ranks. Kind of like the movie "Scarface," which the direct prequel "Vice City" was very closely based on. The world in the game is incredibly expansive. If you don't want to stay with the plot, you can spend hours as a taxi driver dropping people off at their destinations before times runs out, or playing black jack at the casino, or any of hundreds of seperate minigames. Myself, I liked the "Brown Thunder" mini-game from vice city, where you chase down and blow up bad guys from your stolen Apache helicopter.

11. My favorite side mission was one of the movie studio ones
The one where you have to jump rooftops on a PCJ and light up the night sky with Candy's...assets. :silly: I love riding bikes in Vice City, I never drive cars unless I have to, and riding around like a maniac while sailing through the air? Never gets old.

In fact I keep a save slot on my memory card right before that mission so I can do it whenever I want. :)

15. According to developers...
you can spend hours jumping the dirt bike in the countryside without even visiting the city, if that's what you want to do.

But yeah, that was a memorable mission. I sort of had a love/hate relationship with it. I'll always fucked up my bike just before the end.

18. There are supposedly facilities in each of the cities where you can train
and learn fighting techniques. The LA type city is supposed to have a boxing gym, the SF type city a dojo, and the Vegas city a rundown gym where you learn a brawling fighting style.

I think it would be cool to have side missions where you participate in underground boxing like in the movie Snatch or street fighting and pick up cash.

Also, in the countryside there's the possiblity of flying a crop duster and using farming equipment. I would like the ability to manage a farm (I'm a Harvast Moon addict as well).

12. That game sounds really cool
I would like to be the taxi driver or spending all my money at the Casino.

I'm not really into video games but it does sound like something I think I would enjoy playing.

Thanks for filling me in.

17. I believe the story line for San Andreas is something like this:
CJ's (main character) mother and younger brother are killed in a gang related shooting and CJ escapes to Liberty City to hideout. Two years later, he returns to his old neighborhood where his estranged older brother is now head of the neighborhood gang to pick up the pieces of his life. As soon as he returns he's framed for a crime by crooked cops and the game picks up from there....

Of course in general the game is become a crimelord while pissing off other gangs in the process

14. Whatever happened to real naked women and motorcycles?
I think it was more fun then.

Once upon a long time ago I woke up next to a Harley in some woman's apartment in San Diego, and I wasn't sure how I got there, there were beer cans everywhere, but I think we crossed the San Andreas fault.

We could swim too. Sometimes nude.

16. Can't get the clap from a video game.
Few things help bring you down from a bad day at work like mowing down police cruisers from an Apache helicopter. Virtually.
