Linfield whomps Pointers, Division III voters better notice

Overcoming a 10-point deficit on the road, the Linfield Wildcats handed Wisconsin Stevens-Point its first loss to a Division III non-conference opponent during the regular season since 1981.

Linfield, a relative newcomer to NCAA Division III has been given short shrift in the last couple of years of the playoffs, I suspect because the voters don't know anything about the football team that hasn't had a losing season since the Eisenhower administration.

Take note, Division III! There's a new power rising in the West.
