Looking for a quote by Joseph Goebbels
I saw it on here a few days ago, and was wondering if anyone had it, or knew where to find it. It involved calling anyone who diagreed with the party in power a traitor and unpatriotic. Sorry I can't give anymore hints than that, but if I could I would have the quote right? :)

2. Are you sure you don't mean Goering?
Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Hermann Goering at the Nuremberg trials, 1946.

3. This is the best quote for what was going on during the runup to the
Iraq Invasion, the propaganda blitz. Chilling because Goehring points out the universality of these methods, how it works as easily in a "great democracy" like ours as in a Communist country or wherever.

I emailed and posted this a lot during that time. Sadly still relevant now.

Probably explains why I couldn't find it.
