Annie Lennox like a wine that needs time, or a painter who waits to death

to be appreciated, her new 2for CD is a Classic/Masterpiece for fans of 80's sound.

"Media USA" with "Live in Central Park" is worth the full price ...but I know that there are discounts.

This album for fans of 80's background band sound and Annie at her finist is worth whatever price one pays.

It's a "retrospective" done in new ways. She even picks up an old "Temptation" trac and makes it sound better.

It's beautiful...Have you heard it?

I say Annie and Sting here in NC..and they were both great..but Annie made me a "NEW" fan all over.

Good Stuff!

1. Leaves me cold
Her duet with Aretha Franklin merely proved that she has no soul. Eh.

2. There isn't a duet with Aretha on this CD?
 but even if there was...I love Aretha!

6. No, long time ago, I don't remember the album.
But the contrast was so great, I figured if I wanted something good I would buy Aretha, not Annie.

3. I was a huge metal head back in the '80's

but the Eurythmics were a secret guilty pleasure of mine. I couldn't play them in front of my black t-shirt and jean jacket friends but they (and she) have held up a hell of a lot better than Ratt did that's for sure. :headbang:

On edit: typo and another :headbang: just for old times sake

4. Thanks...I think she was a "secret delight." I've just revisited her
and that's why I posted. I thought she was okay when she was with the Eurthmycs but my tastes at that time were "elsewhere" also.

I posted..because I think this CD and her are worth a second look...she's aged VERY well..methinks...Just MHO..though.
