Good-bye to Summer! Is it making one final stand in your area????
It has been unbearable here in Denver the past few days, although today is ok. Last night it was so hot and humid I coudn't sleep! Worse than it had been in July and August! We're supposed to get snow in the mountains mid-week, so fall is about to make an appearance!

3. Summer isn't in a hurry to leave here
91 degrees today and no relief all week long. Any real change in weather probably won't occur until mid to late October unfortunately. Texas weather sucks. :hi:

6. Texas escaped its usual brutally hot summer, but it has climbed into
Edited on Sun Sep-19-04 04:03 PM by Dover
the mid nineties in the past week. A late comer summer. Otherwise a wonderful Spring and Summer down here. Plenty of the wet stuff and several "cool" fronts to ease the way. Fell asleep today in my hammock beneath a tall old canopy oak, the breezes just enough to give that sound of ocean waves that rustling leaves make...slept like a baby.

7. It was absolutely beautiful here today
in New Jersey...bright sunny day, mid 60's and it is supposed to get down to the 40's tonight, you could smell the crispness in the air...fall is my favorite season and I only have to wait a month or so for the leaves to be at their peak colors...however I think it will be back in the 80's again by midweek (boo!)

10. low to mid 70s here in Ohio today
It's been a very mild summer for us. I think we only had one or two 90 degree days all summer. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish we had summers like that here all the time and mild winters as well.

11. Arizona: Back into Spring..
This is just the best place to live. We get two Springs, one long hot summer with beautiful blue skies, one Autumn with chilly nights. Right now, all the flowers are in bloom again for our second Spring. We had beautiful rain three times this week.

This week we'll be going up to the high mountains camping and to watch the Autumn fall colors. During your Winter, we'll go up to the high mountains to play in the snow..leave it there and come home to our chilly Autumn nights.

You got to be insane, if you live anywhere else.

12. yes, it appears that summer waited till September to arrive
I don't care, I closed the pool today anyway. I'm sick of my heathen children and the neighborhood kids tearing things up. I'm going to usee the rest of the good weather and make them pull weeds and put things up for winter!

14. It's been a very warm and dry September and I can't wait for it to
get cooler and to get some rain, or for it to at least be seasonal. We are running about 10 degrees above normal. Now if in the dead of winter it's 10 degrees above normal, I wouldn't complain at all.
