doing what they love best -- relaxing on the futon....
Sunny is our greyhound, we've had him since Feb'04, Mint is the foster greyhound in search of a forever-home. We also have an 8-yr old airedale and 4 cats...

Bless your heart! It warms my heart to see unwanted animals rescued by animal lovers. :)

3. They are the sweetest dogs. When we get bigger quarters
I will get one myself.

They are adorable.

4. Good looking dogs -- thanks for pics.

Today was pet day at the senior center. Calloway, the golf club people, brought in some friendly doggies that we could all pet. I got to hold one of the little ones, pet most of the rest, and I hugged, and got a big slobbery kiss from the biggest one. It made my day.

7. so far they do get along
one of our worries is that DAX (our Airedale) is also a female - and depending on temperament - females have a tendency to NOT get along -- especially if one of them is very dominant. Dax can be assertive of her ALPHA dog position in the house -- but she seems to have accepted having another female in the house.

Mint is really laid back and accepted her position within the "pack"

Sunny is pretty much an "ooompty-doompty" and goes along with anything.

Our second worry was how Mint would react to cats -- she did corner one of the cats yesterday and got a good yelling for her efforts, then sent to her "bed" for a time-out. When allowed to wander the house and we are not able to monitor her - she wears a muzzle until we are sure she won't use a cat as a toy.

For the most part she has learned to 'ignore' the cats -- but we are still playing it on the safe side.

Sunny had already been 'exposed' to cats, he was curious about the cats during his first few days with us, but all he wanted to do was to "sniff" the cats. Now the cats will do head-bumps and even curl up with him.
