shameful on that 15-yd PF...might as well have held the ball for the kicker...

2. College football refs suck.
If you think they're bad in the SEC, watch a couple of Big Ten games next weekend. Might as well have trained chimps officiate.

4. Not completely true here..
..the refs will let the first slap or push in a series go and attempt to defuse the situation by saying something or moving between the players. At any rate, despite the call, the Florida defense was playing such a soft zone that an additional 15 yards probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.

5. but the clock might have made the difference
if no penalty, the clock would have continued to run instead of stopping at :50...AND the Vols would have had 15 more yards to make up...

9. Stopping the clock was much more critical than 15 yards
The Vols would have had 15-20 seconds tops instead of almost 50.

It was a ridiculous call, but Florida had a 28-27 lead and the ball, 2nd and 3 with a minute and a half left and Tennessee with no timeouts. Only the Zook Gators could find a way to blow that.

No, that's completely unfair. Last Friday night FSU had a 7 point lead and the ball with less than a minute and a half remaining in Miami. I suggest those teams play each other in a meaningless giveaway bowl for runnerup status as best team in the state.

8. That was bullshit
The ref clearly was able to see both infractions. It was worthy of a double personal foul. The clock would have still stopped, but UF wouldn't have lost the 15 yards.

I haven't seen officiating that bad since FSU/UF last year.
