"Can I Borrow Your Kroger Plus Card?"

Anyone else made squeamish by these requests, considering all your purchases are being databased?

1. At my Kroger

All you have to do is give them your phone number if you forget your card. I still give them my phone number from my old apartment from years ago, and it still works.

3. I hate those things

I stopped shopping at our Kroger-owned QFC when they brought those out.

I still go to Safeway for my cat litter and stuff, but I hate those freaking cards.

They really don't care if you put fake information... just put a number you can remember, and use that!

I always think about the Halloween me and a friend went to Kroger and bought apples and razor blades just to freak people out...:D

9. Someone talked about swapping cards

there is someone out there who swaps Kroger cards with everyone he meets, screwing up the database with registered shoppers bouncing all around the country

Union employees is why I always shop there.

...doesn't use the damned cards, and never has. Albertson's and Safeway do, though.
