7. awesome win against rivera
When I saw the Yanks up 2-1 in the top of the 9th I just stopped my GameChannel from Yahoo. But I watched the highlights on SportsCenter and was very delighted to see the Red Sox come back in the 9th to win! And they held the win too with their new awesome closer!

22. Throwing the dogs a bone...

gotta keep the spankmes from crying up a river. Oh Boohoohoo we lost again. Oh boohoohoo we lost the WS in 2001 when we deserved to win because of SEP-11. They are such crybabies. The only Yankee worth liking (fan or player) is Bernie Williams, because he is a class act, and he is BACK IN THE LINEUP wooohooo!!!

Statistically, when one team beats another team so they have to get more than two grand slams (nine runs) to win, the next day the team that loses wins nine out of ten times.

!!!! 2001 2001 2001 2001 !!!

Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 06:07 PM by dnbmathguy
I'll take losing 14-4 over losing 22-0. I'll trust the nine out of ten statistic when a team wins by nine runs or more, because it very often happens (see: Kansas City last week). I'd rather lose a game like this than a game like last night's. GO SOX!
