Many folks here are never suspected of being a freeper. That is because they never post anything that would make them suspect. They realize the importance of the upcoming election, and try to post constructively. Negative posting usually serves no constructive purpose, and negative posters are often suspected of being freepers, because that is one of the only ways a freeper can post at DU without getting immediately tombstoned.
Freepers can not post any real facts, because all the facts are against them.
If a DUer suspects that someone is a freeper, and the suspect poster already has a fair number of posts, the DUer can use the search function to read the suspect persons past posts in order to get an idea if a poster is a freeper or just a negative doom and gloomer.
The thing about freepers is that they are, in general, really quite "dim", and lack the ability to think complexly. Like foolish children, they think that they are being clever with their posts, but the average DUer can spot most freepers right away.
Freepers are not really a problem here, and they make great sport. Actually, freeper baiting is an art, kind of like hunting or trapping, and it is a blast when you can make one totally go off and they get tombstoned. While freepers think they are being clever, we are laughing at them, insulting them (and they don't even get it!) and posting factual information that might help them make their way over from the dark side if they have half a working brain.
Unfortunately, facts have little relevance to the freeper mind, which is conditioned, in all probability, by early childhood experiences such as poor toilet training, abusive authoritarian parenting, and long term right wing propaganda exposure, and has, out of survival necessity due to these terrible abuses, escaped into a fantasy world of hate, devoid of logic, rationality, ethics, and compassion.
Freepers are kind of like the flying monkeys from the film "The Wizard of Oz". They are the mindless, lowly servants of evil, who love to be controlled, and live only to please their manipulative corporate masters. They will do anything - lie, cheat steal, kill, etc., to please their beloved masters who abuse them as a reward for their mindless, senseless, and unrequited loyalty.
In reality, freepers are very sad, pathetic creatures that need to be told what to do because they have long ago surrendered their ability to think for themselves.
As a Democrat and a liberal, I promise to be tolerant and compassionate toward freepers after President Kerry takes office in January, and our newly elected Democratic House and Senate is sworn in at that time.
I think that some freepers will even find that the peace, prosperity, and freedom that America will experience under the new Democratic government is actually much better than the toxic, deadly, repressive chaos of the Bu$h dictatorship.
