sorry, but it's driving me to distraction that people can't tell the simple difference between plural and possessive.

It are reminding me too much of chimp in charge.

I was in Honors English in Junior High and High School, but not because of my writing skills. It was because of my reading skills. Its easy being an honors english student when the course and it's requirements say nothing about ones writing skills

3. hahahahaha!
it just bugs the CRAP out of me

Einstein couldn't multiply and all that, I know

other stuff doesn't get me the way that does

I hardly ever capitalize, or periodize, eg

why cant people just NOT use apostrophe's at all, instead of inserting them where they have no busines's?

6. I feel your pain.
:D When contracting "it is" to "it's", the apostrophe takes the place of the missing letter "i". When you try to substitute "it's" for "it is", if "it is" doesn't fit, (The cat put its' mouse in the kibble dish.) well, then you know where to put the apostrophe....after the "s". Now, is everyone confused?

18. My grammar teacher had this rule, and I haven't forgotten it:
It's is a contraction for when you intend to say "it is."

For all other instances, it is "its" with no apostrophe to connote a missing letter.
