It's been an odd week.

I was at a clothing store and saw a woman and her ~8 year old daughter.

Her daughter's gut was as large as mine. Now I'm 32. (though I don't have much of an excuse either...)

Too many Happy Meals goin' on? (people are free to eat what they want, but "fast food" isn't food and the speed of preparation/storage leads to health problems.

And now a promo advert on TV (CBS) just said that the disease Rickets is making a comeback. Last I recall, Rickets is caused by a deficiency in vitamin D. Uh, aren't the kiddies getting fish or fortified milk anymore? :shrug: (I can't wait to see the news segment, to see which product gets peddled...)

maybe we really are going back in time to the dark ages. let me see, rickets coming back, tb on the rise, bedbugs reappear, no recess for kids in Tacoma schools. What century is this again?

2. i hate seeing fat kids

my niece was a fat baby, fat child, now a fat adult. she's the only one in the family. it's painful to see her be unhappy, and not being able to wave a wand and make her happy. but having been a cigarette smoker, i know you can make those changes yourself, when you are ready to.
