what's up w/ photobucket?

i see many images around the net that are hosted by photobucket.com are now missing (red x)

does anyone know what's going on? i have way too many pictures stored there if they crapped out.

10. the main page of photobucket has a link that says "outage explained"

but even that's not working at the moment

at least it seems they are aware, sounds temporary

how's the service otherwise? I might sign up, if this isn't a frequent issue (everything goes down temporarily at some time)

13. Anyone here reeeeeeeeaally into photography? I need a new digital camera

and I'm only looking for a new one because my Olympus doesn't let me take pictures quickly, one right after the other....

I want a new digital that's really really fast!

None of the review-sites that have the "purchase advisor" thingys ever let you enter that feature as a feature that is really important to you.
