2. Portable CD player
3. CDs by Franz Ferdinand, Kyuss, Mark Lanegan, Radiohead and the Beatles.
4. A Jump the Shark desk calendar
5. A picture of Mrs. Beastman

2. Stack of business cards I should throw out
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 08:48 AM by redqueen
- Desk pad calendar with notes I don't read because there's always papers all over it
- Stacks of papers (invoices, payment notices, purchase orders)
- Spiral with my daily 'what people have told me to do so I can again not do what I have scheduled to do' list
- Sticky notes with various barely-legible notes scrawled on them
- Packing tape I used I don't know when that I still need to put away
- HUGE stack of filing to be done (contracts, invoices)
- Tiny ivy in a pewter vase
- Pics of my daughters (really old, but :))
- Kroger receipts I still need to submit as company expenses
- Various other office standard stuff...
- Can of Dr Pepper

4. Let's see -- in addition to the computer, phone, planner,
pens (yes, caps chewed) and other standard office stuff---

1. Old rolodex that has nothing current in it
2. Shoe box with hundreds of unfiled business cards
3. 25 or so magazines (10 issues of ours, the rest others)
4. A 5-CD custodial training package
5. My god, how did all of this paper get here?
6. 100,000,000 post-it notes stuck everywhere

My office is a sty.

18. I use the "damn! where did I put that number?" method of
contact management...

I really could use a good database/address program. Maybe sometime I'm really bored I'll type everything into Excel. It's what I've got here.

23. No Outlook?
Egads... I'd be lost!

Excel would work... how about a day timer thingy? I had one of thoes for the longest time, before I started actually using the contacts feature in outlook. The only drawback was the nearly paralyzing fear that set in every time I lost the damn thing.

25. No Outlook, and no equivalent for Mac.
I have all that on my home computer, but I don't want to clutter that up with any more work than I already have to.

28. No -- I meant my company didn't give me the Mac equivalent.
Sorry for the confusion.

We're still on OS9 until at least the end of the year; then, we'll have the address book and I'll maybe use it.
