3. Do check out Astor Piazzolla if you haven't already....
He invented tango nuevo, & made many recordings--with his own groups & with other artists--Gary Burton & the Kronos Quartet for two.



Tango Zero Hour may be his best. Totally passionate music.

And I'll check out the Jazz Mandolin Project. Speaking of mandolin, have you heard David Grisman playing gypsy jazz mandolin--with Stephane Grapelli on violin?
