Post secondary drinking stories?

And please people spare the rest of us the lecture about drinking stories and how college/university is to learn - we did both.

I was just reminded of one. Me and my buddy Dan one day went to the pub in the Student union building for a beer - we ended up getting drunk Dan was British, so he knew lots of songs, and a 2:00 in the afternoon Dan and I ended up singing "It's a long way to tippareri (sp?)" Blitz walking down the corridor.

"If I had finished my degree, I'd be dead right now" - QUotes a friend of mine.

Tell us a tale of the drink.

1. Met my college roommate on a bender...

In my dorm room, bunch of buds getting toasted. Trashed, he got busted pissing on the bushes in front of the dorm resident advisor's chateau. He was shoeless and falling over, and wound up passed out on her couch (she took pity on him, and insisted he not try to make it home). As punishment, he had to attend an alcohol abuse class. He wore a Moosehead beer t-shirt to it. That was pretty cool. He's a surgeon in the Navy now. Bet he's Freeperiffic, too. Sigh.

2. Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 1991

Desert Storm was over and my ship was headed back to its home port of Yokosuka, Japan. We stopped in Dubai for a couple of days on our way back.

Well, one night me and my friends hit the town. American food chains are all over the place, and we found a Pizza Hut and had some dinner.

After dinner we hit a hotel bar and started to drink lots of beer. A LOT of beer, on top of the Pizza Hut pizza.

We found our way to a different hotel bar and started doing shots of tequila and slamming down screwdrivers and other drinks.

Well, this went on for a few hours, and we finally headed back to the ship. Somehow I was able to stumble aboard and headed to my rack for bed.

I then vomited and passed out, and was sent to sick bay to make sure I didn't die.

Needless to say I woke up with a horrible hangover, and disoriented because I didn't know how I ended up in sick bay.

A corpsman had been assigned to watch me all night in case I choked on my vomit.

That was pretty stupid of me.

3. hmmm

College kegger freshman year... for some reason it was actually in a field, just like high school and they bussed us there. That was kind of odd, too. Well, it was a women's college in the middle of nowhere, everything was like that. It was my first time away from home and I was homesick. So I drank way too much and ended up in a van with some football player from near my home town (must have been really homesick, since I usually despise jock-types). I was so loaded when we got back to the dorm that I left my new leather coat somewhere ( it was never seen again), blathered incessantly at people in the bathroom , called my mom to tell her how drunk I was and that I had lost my coat, and then was told the next day how "funny" I had been. There may have been other things I did, but I don't remember. Needless to say, I was much more careful about drinking after that. At least until I transferred to the urban college. But that is another set of stories.
