I got a job!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Parent Educator/Early Childhood Development Specialist for a very large social services type of organization. I'll be working with parents of children ages 0-3 with parenting skills, child development education, nutrition, and assisting them in accessing other needed social services. Kind of high stress, but I won't have to teach preschool at least. The pay isn't bad, full benefits, tuition reimbursement, and on and on....

The light at the end of my current tunnel anyway. I start October 4th!

Plus, my interview luck/ good Karma is unbroken. Every time I've ever gotten far enough to get an interview, I've been offered the job. There's a few other things I applied for, but I haven't heard from them yet, so it looks like this is it. I accepted anyway, so if anyone else wants me, they'd better hurry up.

What I'm doing relies of federal grant money. Do Republicans care about services for poor little kids? Not usually unless it's by Fundy volunteers instead of actual professionals. Gives me more motivation to get that sucker out!

She asked me when I could start? I told her I'd need 2 weeks to get childcare in order. She said, "How about October 4th?" I said, "Perfect. Sounds great." Not so bad. Often if someone is coming from another job, they need 2-4 weeks to after giving notice anyway, so not a biggie for either end.
