Attention gun-hating liberals: What would drive you to murder someone?
For me, I would fly into a murderous rage if I witnessed someone torturing or molesting a child. I don't even eat animals, but if some pond scum brutalised a terrified child in my vicinity and there was a gun close to my right hand, that waste-of-space pervert would be dead by my hand.

On the other hand, if I kept the rage in check, I would want to see the perpetrator in prison, where s/he is raped on a nightly basis and lives in fear all the time. So I'm not saying killing is right, only that I know I have the capacity to do it under this extreme circumstance.

How 'bout it, guys?

1. Nope
I'm a liberal, and therefore all for child molesting. Decriminalize it, I say.

2. well, not exactly lounge material
but I really hate when people here, supposed liberals, advocate ongoing anal rape as a justifiable form of punishment.

5. Seeing Jerry Falwell's Christian soldiers marching down my street
knocking down doors demanding that people come out to pray and say the pledge of allegiance would do it for me. They can pull a pray out of me over my cold, dead, lips.

6. If someone hurt my wife or children that individual would not make
it to trial, even if he or she was arrested.

You can do wonderful things with a high-powered scope and hi-velocity rounds.

I know that isn't the "moment of righteous rage" argument people who "pack heat" talk about, but hey, to each his own.

It may be an urban legend but I always remember the boy who was molested by a pederast who took him across state line to do his deed. Captured, and being returned to his home state (maine) he happened to be in the airport (Bangor) at the same time the kid's father happened to be there. Hilarity ensued.

If that is a true story, I can empathise with the father. ALso the State troopers who were so embarrassed that they weren't able to protect their handcuffed prisoner from being killed.

Some people, as the Texans say, need killing.

8. As a liberal...

I pretty much consider vigilante justice to be despicable. And people who would advocate rape are just about the moral equivalent of people who molest children. See, for example, Abu Ghraib. But then again people who talk big about it probably just like to talk big.

I would never murder another human being.

9. Self-defense, or impending physical harm to my wife, family or pets...
Yes, pets, too. If I saw someone attemping to harm them I would come swiftly to their aid with any means necessary.

Also, if I saw anyone acting violently toward any of my colleagues at work, or a child in public, I would come immediately to their defense, probably with disregard for any physical harm that might befall me in the process.

It's state-sanctioned, birth-control-after-the-fact, clinical killing that I have a problem with, but that's another thread, and in another forum.

10. Well, if they answer my ad
and they agree to the dying and to the cannibalism and such... why, then it's not really "murder" at all, now is it?

;-)
