Awsome Gene Rodenberry quote RE: Liberals!
Was going throught some old vhs tapes last night & found a tape from 1991. It was of Gene Rodenberry's memmorial service on the E channel. They showed a click of Gene where he said, 'Star Trek is my vision of a perfect liberal society in the future'. I later found that Majel Barret Rodenberry & Gene were BIG TIME Democrats!

This quote is also on the original Star Trek series just out on dvd (last disc with all the extras)When you think of it, Star Trek goes against every freepers way of thinking yet I bet there are some out there who claim the show as their own. Live Long & Prosper Mr. Rodenberry!

Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 03:10 PM by romantico
Captain O'Reilly with his first officer Lt.Limbaugh & cheif engineer O'Hannity. Communictaions officer Coulter & ships Doctor Schlessinger. The series takes place on the USS Freerepublic exploring different worlds where they convert all aliens & species to christianity & makes them wave the US flag. What do you all think?

3. Gene Roddenberry was also
an Atheist :)

"I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of their free will--and a hell of a lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. For most people, religion is nothing more than a substitute for a malfunctioning brain."

"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes."
