I'm watching "Wattstax" for the first time right now....
About twenty minutes in...looks awesome. Staples singers in a limo....Richard Pryor....sweet. Anyone else seen it?

In LA. Music acts and commentary on the black politics of the time. It's where Jesse Jackson's "I AM SOMEBODY!" speech is from. Lots of great musical acts too.

6. I saw his speech in the beginning..about 45 mins. in right now..
Watching the Bar-Kays. WHO is that singer?!? He's incredible! "Freedom is a road seldom traveled by the multitudes..." Fucking sweet.

This is the first time I've seen this film and it's blowing my mind.....These bands are so TIGHT! I miss real musicians. And I miss Richard Pryor.
