2. The Free Nation of Elveshia recommends...
The Free Nation of Elveshia recommends that all nations founded on progressive principles and dedicated to advancing their social causes change their locations to Shagatopia (which is where the other DUers are). Several nations have recently experienced problems with Falwellian rebels, and I suspect that we have a lurking freeper in our midst, so the presence of additional progressive nations in our alliance would be most welcome.

So says Elthas, Elected Speaker of Elveshia, member of the Shagatopian Alliance and the United Nations.

3. this is what my nation is
The Community of Sanatana is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 47%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Information Technology.

Crime is totally unknown. Sanatana's national animal is the lioness, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the rupee.

5. Time for midnight diplomacy again
The couple of days' break where I didn't have to establish relations with 10 new nations per day was refreshing...here we go again.

Oh, well, progressively-minded nations are always welcome in Shagatopia!:bounce:
