Had I know it was an eight year period of wonderful peace and prosperity, damn, I would have...I don't know, CHERISED it more. I would have treasured many moments.

But no. I didn't. I just took having a good president TOTALLY for granted. La-dee-da! Budget surplus? Yeah, isn't it great? I don't even THINK about it! President who is intelligent? Yeah, what else is the president gonna be? Stupid? HAhahahaha! Of course not! Silly!

It pisses me off now. I want to go back in time, knowing what I know now, so I can really appreciate things. And so I can know exactly when to get out of the stock market so I won't lose that money again.

Big heavy blustery drama-queeney sigh.

1. I know what you mean. Clinton wasn't liberal enough for me.
I thought that after he lost the fight for healthcare reform he did too much to placate the right.

Now I'd give anything to have him back.

6. I know, right???
He wasn't liberal enough for me either (and for the record neither is Kerry but I still want to see him in the WH).

WAH!

2. part of having a good president
is being ABLE to take it for granted.

that says volumes about him as a president. we didn't have to watch our backs every day and worry about having a job tomorrow or not.

5. When you finally get those good times.
You will now really be able to appreciate it. A reality contrast is the secret to a healthy perspective. Honey, you know something good will come out of this.
