1. I'm not.
I only get tired of all the cars around where I live when school lets out.

6. lol welcome to DU!
:hi:

I'm a freshman and I'm sick of them. Seems all my friends or so-called friends think they're all high and mighty now that their in HS. And the existing kids here can be real jerks.

10. you hater :)
What grade?
I don't like some of their apathy as far as politics go but Ive found many are in to it, just see my pol sci class, its very fascinating, but I realize that though many are not in to what I enjoy, I am a Social Sciences and English guy basically I enjoy history, writing, and reading, and etc, I concede that not everyone is that, so an apathetic person in government could be the person schooling me in Math, he could be in like I dunno Pre Calc and meanwhile I am humbly in Algebra II which reminds me I have to do my Algebra homework, damn late night naps.

lol! I hear you, I ace my History and English Problems with no problems at all and struggle through math (also Algebra 2) I cant wait for a debate class that I have next trimester. Although I'm sure it wont beat the best class of all.....Teachers Aide! :bounce:

19. No, I am afraid Poltical Sciece is the best course
I am a senior in Algebra II not because I failed Algebra I as a freshman but because I felt being learning disabled and knowing my middle school experiences with math were ugly at best, I decided to go for a year of intro to algebra and ya know what, that teacher served as a reference for me, great guy, one of my most memorable teachers.

I've made up my mind. In College, I will major in Political Science and/or International Relations. Both seem right up my alley!

3. you wouldnt have to worry about me
since I dont drive, I am so old fashion, most of the juniors have cars and nearly all the seniors have them, and I? I still do what I did as a sophomore and freshman, I walk through the forrest and risk fallin on my ass ad getting rained on so I dont have to do deal with traffic, then you consider the fact that I dont wanna have to deal with the traffic.

7. Lol. THe traffic is bad for only twice a day for around 45 minutes
the problem is when they start 'showing off' and hitting the parked cars in our parking lot!

17. I feel so humbled compared to some of these guys
I am not gonna give you Johnny Edwards' my father was a mill worker or Dick Gephardt's my father was a milk cart driver but my dad did all sorts of things when I was growing up, many of my peer's parents are in jobs that were like the boss of my dad, my dad waited tables, ummm their parent probably onws the place, my dad manages a clothing store, again parent probably owns, my dad was a taxi driver, their parent could own that company, and etc. Now my mom has a great job but though I live in one of the richest counties, I feel like I have to do the Horatio Alger thingie a majing and goddamnit I am turning in to John Kerry :D, god its weird.

22. It's difficult, especially when you're a teenager
cliched it may be, but self worth has nothing to do with possessions.

But I hear you. I remember feeling like that myself. I did not get a car until I was in college, and in HS, a friend had a Pinto. The "exploding gastank car".

You're better than all of them. :)

"stars" of my HS ended up having their HS years be the epitome of their lives.

Walking is better.
