Confession - I like Dolly Parton

Sue me. I'm listening to her new live album and it's great. She's singin' "After the Goldrush" and "Stairway to Heaven" is coming up.

I heard a great story a couple years ago. I was visiting my sister in East Bumfuck, upstate NY, and her very elderly neighbors had gone to the nursing home on Christmas day to visit the man's VERY VERY elderly mother.

Dolly Parton was there, just visiting folk. She was doing a concert in the area and spent her christmas visiting the nursing home cheering up the residents. How cool is that?

She is one of idols as far as musicality is concern . If I ever make it in the music business ,I would faint if I ever met Dolly Parton . She is on my list of " I am not worthy " lol .

I like her, too. And "I Will Always Love You"...her song, sung by her...is a really nice song. Unlike some versions of this song....

and what you see is what you get. She is a pretty genuine person; smart, smart business woman and a wonderful songwriter.

But like the "old" stuff. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, etc. Dolly's one of the good ones, and she still gets me hot. ;)

I hate that song, but it was an okay cover of "Stairway to Heaven."

Rolf Harris of "Tie Me Kangaroon Down, Sport," fame did a better version of Stairway complete with Australian diggeridoos, etc. :)
