Haiku are my favorite type of poem. Back in high school, I used to write haiku on homework telling the teacher that the homework sucked. Luckily, they appreciated my poems enough not to take it out of my grade. :)

I've always liked poetry though. My junior year English teacher really got me into Haiku. I'm still grateful to her. My economics teacher during senior year loved them. But if anyone would, it would be him. He allowed all the students to call him 'Smitty' instead of Mr. Smith.
