I'm really getting "Sirius." The best sat radio, best deal (non-Murdoch)
Just ordering mine now. Thought you folks might be interested in their press release..a snip form it. I refuse to get XM since they are a Murdoch/DirecTV collab.

"SIRIUS offers its complete music, sports, talk, information and entertainment programming lineup for one low monthly subscription price of $12.95 a month. All of SIRUS' great sports programming, including NFL Sunday Drive, is included in this price. At no additional cost, subscribers can listen online, on any PC or Mac, to SIRIUS' 65 channels of commercial-free music and other select SIRIUS channels. Consumers considering satellite radio can sample SIRIUS free online for three consecutive days by visiting http://www.sirius.com.

"SIRIUS is proud to be the only satellite radio company to make its award-winning lineup of commercial-free music channels available online at no additional charge to our subscribers," said Joseph P. Clayton, Chief Executive Officer, SIRIUS. "And, instead of having to pay nearly $20 a month to receive programming, upgrades and add-ons, as others in satellite radio may charge, SIRIUS subscribers can receive our entire lineup of commercial-free music channels, college sports, the NFL and Internet streaming of our music channels for one low price of $12.95 a month."

As part of the broadcast and online experience from SIRIUS, subscribers are accustomed to being up close and personal with their favorite artists, and were recently treated to live broadcasts of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, Velvet Revolver's "Live & Loaded" concert, the JVC Newport Jazz Festival and many more. Recently, multi-platinum, GRAMMY®-winning hip-hop artist Nelly introduced his two new albums, Sweat and Suit exclusively to subscribers during a guest DJ appearance.

Just this year, SIRIUS launched SIRIUS NFL Radio, the first 24/7 radio channel devoted to the NFL. SIRIUS also announced a partnership with multi-platinum recording artist Eminem, Shady Records and Interscope Records to create a cutting-edge hip-hop music and lifestyle channel exclusively for SIRIUS. Recently the company has added a number of critically-acclaimed music channels, such as Elvis Radio and Faction, which features an innovative mix of hard rock, punk and hip-hop, hosted by champion skateboarder Tony Hawk, top- ranked surfer Kelly Slater and other acclaimed action sports athletes. SIRIUS also features Underground Garage, the one-of-a-kind channel programmed by Steven Van Zandt. All of this is included in every SIRIUS subscription."

1. I've had it for a month or so now, I love it :)
I might get rid of my current receiver and get a smaller one though. I bought the Radio Shack one, and it's freakin huge.

3. Sirius has been pre-empting Air America for the past two weekends
with NCAA games--all day Saturday and Sunday. I called to complain and was told they would call me--no one did. They also pre-empted the only other left talk channel while airing all of the right wing talk shows at the same time. Sirius sucks. Their equipment is not as well engineered as XM's. I've broken two antennas since I bought it in June. They also require a full year payment and subscription which XM does not. I don't want XM either, but Sirius is not all it's made out to be.

4. It looks like Sirus woke up on AAR
How recently did AAR get a Colmes free station? I see little Alan is still on the "Talk Left" station. Not sure I can support a company that thinks a Colmes show is worth paying for. Do they play "This American Life" on any of their NPR stations? I didn't see it on the website.
